In the following, checkdomain shows you how to add a blog to your website and how to manage it using our homepage construction kit.
Using the Pages section in the left menu bar, you can first add a new page to your website for the future blog.
Then go to this page and click on Elements. Here you can now give your page a structure - add a page title or a graphic.
Go to the menu item Blog. Here you can manage existing posts, import them from an RSS feed and make general blog settings. To create a new post, you can click on the blue button or on "Manage posts" and then on "Add blog post". Now change the title and write your blog post.
Click on the post picture to adjust it. Choose here from already uploaded pictures or free pictures from our stock gallery or upload a new picture. Click on "Done" to take this over.
With a click on the magic wand you get to the picture processing. Here you have all sorts of possibilities at your disposal to beautify your picture, to select the appropriate image section and to scale the size. Click on Save to apply your settings. By clicking on Publish, your post will be visible on your blog page. If this is your first post, you'll need to add another element to the ad; more about that now.
Click on the plus next to your post to add a thumbnail. Proceed according to the same principle as for the post picture. Then add the short description of your post, adjust the URL if necessary, add tags and change the publication date if desired. The latter is useful if you are updating an old article. Accept your settings by clicking on "Save".
If this is your first blog post, return to the editor and open the menu item "Elements". Search for "Blog" and drag the widget "All posts" to the desired position on your page. In the menu that opens, you can make various settings for the teaser and the layout. Just give it a try.
