Enable WebSockets in Opera

WebSockets is a new standard which provides a fast data transfer for web pages or web applications.

WebSockets are not automatically activated in the Opera browser.

In this tutorial, you will learn how to activate WebSockets in the Opera browser.

Step 1

Enter the following link in the address bar of your Opera browser and open it. opera:config#Enable%20WebSockets

Step 2

The following screen appears:

Check the box to the right of the text "Enable WebSockets" and then click on the "Save" button.

Confirm the following message with "OK" and restart your Opera browser for the change to take effect.
