In this tutorial you will learn how to prepare a provider change from 1&1 to checkdomain.
Log in to your customer account at 1&1
In your customer account, click on „Domains“ in the menu on the left
Now click on the gear icon to the right of your domain and select „Move & Renew“
To display the required authentication code of the domain, click on the text "Display authorization code".
It may also be necessary to deactivate an existing domain transfer block and/or a private registration beforehand
After you have received the authcode, you can start the transfer of the domain via the order process on https://www.checkdomain.net/en.
Important: For some domain extensions, such as .com/.net/.org or most nTLDs, an additional confirmation of the transfer is required.
In a so-called FOA (Form of Authorization) e-mail, which is sent to the domain holder / admin-c.
