The registry for Turkey is nicTR and is thus responsible for the administration of all .tr domains. nicTR has existed since 1991 and is until today a department at the Middle East Technical University. Nominet is the registry for Great Britian. Since 1996 the non-profit-organization is responsible for .uk, the country code top level domain (ccTLD) of the United Kingdom. As of 2015 nominet is also responsible for .wales and .cymru the geographic top level domains for Wales.

DNS.be is a non-profit-organization founded in 1999 and is responsible for the administration of the Belgian top level domain .be as well as the new TLDs .brussels and .vlaanderen. DNS.be coordinates the registration of the domains and therefore stands in close contact with different partners worldwide including checkdomain. As of now DNS.be is responsible for about 1,6 million registered domains.
