FTP Commander is a free FTP client, with many functions, such as for example:
Supports Drag & Drop, automatic resume on disconnection, automatically detects the Web or FTP server settings.
This guide explains how to set up FTP Commander, to be able to connect to your FTP server.
Please note that in order to use an FTP program, must have a webhosting package with us. (FTP access data).
Start the program "FTP Commander".
In our example it is version 8.0.
After the start you will see the following screen:
Click on the "New Server" button to set up a connectionto your domain.
The following window appears:
Now enter your FTP access data. We have used the following data in our example:
Domain name: www.mustermann.de
IP number: 62.116.172.234
Login: mustermann
Password: 123456
(Please enter the data in your FTP program, which we will send you by e-mail. (your access data for the domain ...)
Now enter the following data:
Title: My Homepage
FTP Server: mustermann.de
User ID: mustermann
Password: 123456
Completed it would look like the following:
(Please note that you have to enter your access data and not our example data).
A connection via "FTPES" (explicit encryption) can only be used with the Deluxe version of FTP Commander.
