The following instructions explain how to install an SSL certificate under DoveCot.
The prerequisite is that the certificate and the private key already exist on the server.
private key: /etc/ssl/private/deinedomain.de.key
Certificate: /etc/ssl/certs/deinedomain.de.crt
Open the configuration file /etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf with any editor of your choice.
Add the following lines to the configuration or change it accordingly.
Enable encrypted protocols imaps and pop3s:
Path to certificate:
Path to the key:
Then save the configuration and close the editor.
Restart the DoveCot service.
